Will Michael Alig be Released Soon?
For the past fifteen years, club kids abound have been wondering when their icon Michael Alig will be released. According to his good friend Lovepurple, he is waiting on the word regarding how much “Good Time” he’s receiving. Good Time in prison and jail land is time off from your sentence. You receive Good Time for attending classes consecutively for a month — Every month you attend all classes in a given subject (anger management, substance abuse, alcoholics anonymous, domestic violence, etc) most prisons and jails give you 2.5 days off your sentence. According to an article by Black Book Magazine The prison system wants Michael Alig to attend a drug abuse program for six months after he gets out in order to be released on parole. Lovepurple says “Hopefully that will be in the late summer of 2010. This isn’t in stone, but it’s what he’s been told.”

Just to correct the info above, the prison requires Michael to attend the 6 month drug treatment now while still in prison. In NY, the main way to get good time is not to lose it! Usually you do 2/3′s of your sentence, and if you’re good the whole time, you’ll be eligible for Conditional Release. (this is not for all sentences, but it’s true for Michael’s) Classes help also, but you have to put the time in! Even if you lose good time, as most inmates do, it usually happens earlier and is expected while getting used to prison life. If you turn into a model inmate during the last several years, you show you’re ready and deserve to get out, so they decide how much time you should get back based on behavior and accomplishments.

Lovepurple never knew Michael before he went away to prison! He only became friends with him after he went to prison. I’m so sick of these people that never knew Michael before he went to prison writing like they know him. They only know him as a prisoner and never knew him ever. They all claim they’re so close to him. LIKE MICHAEL WOULD HANG OUT WITH THESE FOOLS ONCE HE GETS OUT. Celebs like Alig just use these idiots for money and food while they’re in prison. THEY CAN CARE LESS ABOUT THEIR FANS.

Lovepurple has no clue when Michael Alig is getting out. I see all his posts the past 4 years and all he says all the time is how Michael is getting out! He knows just as much as me or you people in here. They’ll let Michael Alig out when they want to let Michael out!LOVEPURPLE never knew Michael before he went to prison. He’s another bum that saw Party Monster and decided to stalk Michael. lmao

i dont know michael but i do remember seeing him on a talk show a long time ago, and they all freakin rocked. i wonder what he’s gonna do when he gets out.. he can come live with me

Lovepurple doesn’t know when Michael’s getting out. I knew Michael before he went in prison and he’s still there because all his drug problems. Lovepurple’s really “Joanne Witken”. Michael told me who she was way back in 2008. She never knew him until she saw his story on tv in like 2004 he told me. I hate these wanna be friends of his. They send him gifts,money,clothes and food. Plus many other things. He uses them and that’s why I don’t talk to him anymore in about 4 years.
