After nine years of the marriage life with a 4 year-old son, Julian, the signer’s wife, Paula Patton has filed for divorce in L.A. from Robin Thicke.
This couple has been separated since February this year after months of rumors that Thicke had strayed from his marriage multiple times. While the rumors kept going, Thicke has been open about wanting to win his wife back. The singer dedicated several of his performances of “Blurred Lines” to her (Yes, yes, it’s the song with Miley Cyrus twerking at MTV’s VMA stage.). He also released a song called “Get Her Back” in May, along with an album, Paula, a month later. However, the divorce still comes across.
One of the reasons for Robin and Paula’s split that he gave in April for a separate court case was released last month. He was asked whether he’s an honest person.
“No. That’s why I’m separated,” he said.
Thicke, who also confessed that he “didn’t do a sober interview” in 2013, later was asked if he’s selective about telling the truth.
“Absolutely not,” Thicke said. “I told my wife the truth. That’s why she left me.”
If you’ve been a fan of this cult franchise for the past few decades, you’re in for a treat. The series created by David Lynch will be coming back with its original director for nine episodes in 2016 on the Showtime channel. Co-creator Mark Frost had told Deadline in a recent interview, “It was something I guess we had to leave alone for a while. David and I stayed good friends over the years, we’d see each other every now and then. When the gold box DVD set came out in 2007, that’s when I think we both started thinking separately about it,” so it’s been something in the works for 7 years now. But what gave the project the green light?
Frost says they’ve had a great relationship with Showtime’s second in command, Gary Levine, who was an executive of the show at ABC during the Twin Peaks days, and it just so happened that Showtime president David Nevins has always been a big fan of the show. Couple that with Lynch’s enthusiasm around Nevins’ art in his office and the fact that the cable channel has a lot more liberties than network television these days, the two co-creators of the show really felt that Peaks belongs at Showtime today.
The groundbreaking television phenomenon, Golden Globe® and Peabody Award-winner TWIN PEAKS will return as a new limited series on SHOWTIME in 2016. Series creators and executive producers David Lynch and Mark Frost will write and produce all nine episodes of the limited series, and Lynch will direct every episode. Set in the present day, TWIN PEAKS will continue the lore of the original series, providing long-awaited answers and a satisfying conclusion for the series’ passionate fan base.
